The clip
case, pencil holder, note board, pens all made of recycled material,
which is the milk package, those are just some of products made
of recycled pellets.
Pellets
(grain) composed of plastic and aluminum recycled from carton. Can
be used as raw material for the manufacture the plastic parts such
as office supplies.
Roofing
tiles obtained from the hot pressing of plastic and aluminum layers
recycled from carton.
Broon bristles are recycled
from PET soft drink bottle.
Books,
calendars, notebooks, advertise, many products may be made from
recycling. Currently, is estimate that about 45% of urban waste
is not degradable, it might be caused from consumer habits and the
increasing offer of disposable material.

Avoid
polystyrene packaging because it can`t be recycled, but
may be used for filling, puffs and pillows.
QWho
is the responsible for garbage? We all are responsible for
it, ordinary citizen to government.
Therefore the involvement in waste sorting and recycle must
be proportionate to their duties.

The sustainable development
can be achieved only if we get change the consumiption patterns.
Speech about the environmental protection, global warming, sustainable
development among other topics, will have no effects if is remain
as words. We already know what should be done, now is up to us
to stand out and do something to change this picture.
Cyberaction “Time” is more a reflection about what
waste sorting, recycle and new consumiption standard in the world.
There are dozens of documents about this subject, look some Pick-upau
tips, join in us and do the difference!

Where does trash come from?
Domestic garbage: begot in the house, offices, and so on,
are waste of food, plastic, paper, metals, glass among other.
Industrial waste: provided from industrial process often
are mud and other kind of waste.
Trash on public roads: the most common materials found when
the street, drain hole or vacant land gets cleaning uo are
leaves, branches and debris.
Waste may come from health services, begot from hospitals,
clinics, drugstores, research institutes, also very common
in big cities are the debris of buildings, produced from
reforms and new constructions.
Weeks
even months are needed to any kind paper to degraded. Every
country, especially riches and developed (as USA, Japan,
France, England, etc), should try harder promote the sustainable
consumption patterns.
For development countries (as Brazil, India and Mexico)
don`t destroy the environment to achieve even higher levels
of production, to improve their economies, sometimes these
methodology is inefficient.
The Agenda 21 has proposed a management for solid waste
a program in four áreas: Social and Economic Dimensions,
Conservation and Management of Resources for Development,
Strengthening the Role of Major Groups, Means of Implementation.
The
carton is composed by 3 basics compounds: paper, plastic
and aluminum. The first step is the recycling, which is
the separation of paper using a big blender with water,
called hidrapulper, which separate the layers of paper,
plastic and aluminum through agitation. The obtained paper
is used in the manufacture of cardboard and recycled paper.
The layer of plastic and aluminum are used to manufacture
board and tiles, useful in construction or in plastic parts.
Another procedure available is the separation of plastic
and aluminum through the thermal plasma technology, which
turns plastic in paraffin and the aluminum recovered in
the forms of bars of pure metal, (it happens at the Department
of Environmental Development of Tetra Pak).

The
new category for garbage has already accumulated piles of waste
around the world. The technological garbage which is old computers,
monitors, and other computing equipment, however in a country like
Brazil, where only 10% of the population has access to these technology,
recycle it is a good alternative for public school, nongovernmental
organization an other institution will thanks your cooperation.

Pick-upau
decreased in 90% the consumption of paper, using draft sheets (both
sides of paper) and using the recycled paper only in officials documents.
All organization work (texts, notes, reports, including cyberaction)
has been done with computers. The theme waste sorting is common
subject in Pick-upau`s events and actions.
