05/05/2005 - Members of
the public will have a face to face opportunity
to put questions to the Board of the Environment
Agency when it holds its open meeting in Nottingham
City centre on Wednesday 11 May.
Our open Board meeting takes place at the
Nottingham Gateway Hotel, beginning at 9.30a.m.
with a 45 minute pre-meeting question and
answer session in which anyone can take part.
Our Chairman Sir John Harman, Chief Executive
Barbara Young, Board members and Directors
will be available to talk to the public. The
Formal Board meeting begins at 10.30am and
anyone interested is welcome to observe. The
meeting will end no later than 4pm, with a
break for lunch at 1pm.
Items on the Board agenda for its formal
meeting include our strategy for a better
coastal and maritime environment and our approach
to enforcement and prosecution of environmental
offenders.

The Board of the Environment Agency meets
around six times a year at different locations
around England and Wales. Board meetings are
open to members of the public to observe.
Each meeting begins with an open session where
members of the public can put questions to
our Chairman Sir John Harman and Chief Executive
